Battlefield Hardline Legendary Status Announced!

Ever wanted Call of Duty’s Prestige system to make its way into the Battlefield franchise?  If you do, then you’re in luck, as Battlefield Hardline Legendary Status is now a thing.

Same as with Call of Duty’s Prestige progression, the Battlefield Hardline Legendary Status “Super Feature” will show off just how hardcore and awesome you are at Battlefield Hardline. Legendary benefits are mostly cosmetic, so don’t expect to get a super gun or something by undertaking the challenge.

Legendary Status is comprised of 15 levels, which translates to hundreds of hours of playtime to earn the max rank. Players who earn a Legendary rank will get an exclusive Killcard. Do keep in mind that becoming Legendary will mean that you have to reset your progress on your unlocks on weapons and gadgets (yep, weapon attachments included), even those earned via Battlepacks. What will remain untouched are:  emblems, patches, camos, unopened Battlepacks, and weapons received from pre-order bonuses and shortcut kits. To help in unlocking your gear, players will “receive a slight boost to all cash earned in your Legendary ranks, meaning that each new rank gets you slightly more cash (but not much).”

Lastly, you will need to own the Battlefield Hardline: Robbery expansion if you want to access the Legendary Status tier.

Will you undertake the journey to become Legendary? And should this feature be in every Battlefield game or would you rather it stay in Call of Duty?

Star Wars: Battlefront new ‘Supremacy’ mode revealed

A new multiplayer mode for the upcoming game Star Wars: Battlefront has just been announced by Electronic Arts and DICE titled‘Supremacy‘.
The main task of this mode is to capture all five or majority of the control points that are scattered all over the map. The teams will have to capture these control points before the 10 min time limit. Each team will have two points with them at the start of each game. The mode is much like ‘Conquest’ from Battlefield series, but it gives much more tweaks to encourage greater teamwork among players. Unlike Battlefield, there is no value in draining tickets of the enemy team. Whoever holds all the control points or atleast majority of them till the end of the time wins the game.

The mode ‘Supremacy’ will be featured in the largest maps of Star Wars: Battlefront, giving the players an opportunity to use almost every vehicle available in the game. The level designer ‘Dennis Brännvall’ also stated that players don’t need to move far to see their friends when they Re-spawn into Supremacy. Instead, they are thrown into the frontline where the main battle is happening. So you will enjoy the battle as much as others do. Players will also be able to take control of Hero and Villains like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
Star Wars: Battlefront is the third major installment in Battlefront series and will make its debut on November 17, 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Metal Gear Solid 5 PS4 Has Short Loading Times And Stable FPS, No Difficulty Setting & More Details

Update:
It has been revealed that players can unlock higher difficulty once you complete the story mode.

Original Story:
Some members from the Japanese press were allowed to play through Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and some of them even completed the entire game. Japanese outlet Watch Impress also got the chance to go hands on the game and we have learned new details from their in-depth preview which can be read here.
First of all, the PS4 version is shaping up quite nicely with shorter loading times and stable frame rate performance. The article praised the solid performance of the PS4 version in every respect. The PS4 version is already confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60fps but there were some doubts about its performance given that The Phantom Pain features vast areas for infiltration.

Another aspect that was praised were the graphics, especially the lighting along with the sunlight which the article termed as realistic without a “blown-out” appearance and described the FOX engine as the best lighting engine ever. If you are a fan of Metal Gear Solid game then obviously you are no stranger to cutscenes. Once again, the cutscenes in The Phantom Pain will be of high quality with subtle touches here and there.
Moving on from technical aspects to gameplay mechanics , there will be no difficulty setting in The Phantom Pain. This comes as a bit of surprise since the series is known to include multiple levels of difficulties. Whether this will affect the lesser skilled players is something that remains to be seen but the lack of any difficulty options is a tad disappointing.
Metal Gear Solid 5 features dynamic gameplay scenarios, something which we pointed in our massive preview of the game. The article gave one such example wherein the player will be able to send the combat unit to blow up supply factories which will make it difficult for your enemy to acquire new gear such as helmets, body armor and scopes.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on September 1st.

Noir horror Dollhouse coming to PS4!

Dollhouse, a noir-style “self-driven horror” game from independent studio Creazn, will come to PlayStation 4 in addition to its previously announced PC, Mac, and Linux platforms in early 2016, publisher Soedesco announced.
Here’s a summary of the horror title, via Soedesco:

In Dollhouse, you will be entering the mind of Marie, a detective trying to unravel her past. As she crawls deeper and deeper into her mind, she slowly discover that she might not be who she really thinks she is… Dollhouse’s narrative adapts to the player’s decisions based on what memories players kept or deleted to define who they were. All this is happening inside a world that reinvents ways players perceive horror in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes utilizing suspense over jump scares.

A new trailer released today teases “a self-constructing mystery deteriorating with time waiting to be solved.” It promises “dozens of unlockable abilities,” “a large cast of playable characters,” “cooperative and competitive multiplayer,” and “procedurally generated campaigns.”
A Steam-based closed beta will be held sometime before release. Interested users can sign up via this Google Docs form.
Watch the new trailer below. Visit the Dollhouse official website here.

'Grand Theft Auto V' Gamescom 2015: Story DLC Or New Game Coming? [RUMOR]

"Grand Theft Auto V's" developers at Rockstar Games may have revealed story DLC or a brand new title behind closed doors at Gamescom 2015. Pictures and recent trademark filings have sparked rumors that the studio is gearing up for its next big project.
The news comes to Design & Trend via fresh tweets from Gamescom 2015 attendees that show an obviously blocked off Rockstar Games booth at the convention. Given some of the software outfit's most recent developments, speculation is on the rise.

Such murmurs begin with the fact that "Grand Theft Auto V" still doesn't have any single player DLC to flesh out its campaign. Since the game's original release nearly two years ago,Rockstar has spent most of its time expanding upon the wildly popular "Grand Theft Auto Online" mode. In March of this year, a collection of multiplayer heists was patched into the platform. They had been promised since launch.
That being said, many of "Grand Theft Auto V's" predecessors have featured story DLC expansions. In "Grand Theft Auto IV" The Lost And Damned and Ballad Of Gay Tony missions were generally well received. As of now, it looks like the fifth game may not feature anything like it. That is, unless this secret Gamescom presence debuts it.
This issue is compounded by Rockstar's recent trademark filings as well. Just ahead of E3 2015, a longstanding filing for a software product called "Agent" was renewed by the company. The game was first announced at E3 2009 as a PS3 exclusive, and it features a Cold War espionage motif set in the late 1970s. Other than a few vague images, little about the endeavor has been publicly acknowledged since. Is it possible that the first "Agent" reboot footage might have been shown to press this week? The evidence is certainly there to suggest it.
Possibly the most intriguing question to ask about "Agent's" revival is if its exclusivity will stick. An exclusive title from a top-tier developer like Rockstar would be a major win for Sony platforms that could desperately use exclusive games. However, contracts can expire and plans can change.
This essentially leaves Rockstar's Gamescom booth caught between two rumors. In the best case scenario, both of them could be true.
Which one of the two would you rather have: brand new story DLC for "Grand Theft Auto V" or a completely new experience with "Agent?" Let us know in the comments section!

GTA 6 Will Feature An Option Of Choosing Between a Cop And a Criminal!

The Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently suffering a lot of the rumors since its official announcement. Rumors of different kind related to gameplay, storyline, game location, protagonist and game release date, etc. We have been informing you with the latest update and the different kind gossips related to the game.
Earlier, there was rumor that the game might release in 2018, then other reports were published which stated that the game will be released in 2020. Now that makes a lot of time from now. But regardless of the release, there were also reports that the Rockstar is planning the whole U.S. as a map in the GTA 6. Then rumors also started building up regarding the main character, mentioning that the famous Hollywood Actor, Ryan Gosling may appear as a protagonist in the upcoming GTA 6.

Just now, a new report hints that the “GTA 6″ will have an option of choosing between a Cop character instead of a criminal, totally opposite to the previous editions of the GTA series.
That seems a little bit strange because the GTA is the most famous series in the gaming history and is known for its type of playing a role of bad characters. From that, we conclude that in the new GTA, players will actually play the role of good characters and may chase the criminals.
This change could be due to a reason that most of the people think that this famous series encourages and promotes violence among gamers. One shop in Australia reportedly banned the sales of GTA 5 due to the petitions of socio-civic activists as they think that the game promotes ‘violence’.
Also, the report stated that the GTA 6 will have six stars wanted level, which were seen in recent additions in the GTA series except for the previous GTA 5, which had only 5 stars wanted level.
Note: This report is based on rumors and awaits official confirmation of Rockstar Games.

Battlefield: Hardline Robbery DLC adds 11 new weapons including throwing knives!

Battlefield: Hardline is getting a substantial new arsenal. Let us gaze upon the new boomsticks together, and be glad.
Battlefield: Hardline’s new DLC, Robbery, is all about heists. Visceral Games told us it would include four new weapons, but Westie went over gamescom 2015 footage and found 11.
The additional guns are a mix of all-new weapons, Battlefield 4 favourites, and some that had previously been upgrade-only weapons. Plus: throwing knives. It’s not clear which ones will be DLC exclusive.
Robbery will launch for Battlefield Premium members in September but has not been solidly dated.

Windows 10 caught stealing Internet Bandwidth. Learn how to disable it!

Many PC users must have felt once about the downgrade in the downloading speed after upgrading from previous OS with Windows 10. Well, that’s not something to blame your ISP as it has been confirmed that one of the hidden feature steals your Internet bandwidth and shares with other Windows 10 users globally.
It has been reported that the Microsoft uses a new kind of feature which allows Windows 10 users to download OS updates from other Windows 10 users. The feature is called as Windows Update Delivery Optimization (WUDO). This feature was mainly supposed to download system updates rapidly, with the maximum speed of up to 40 TB/s. After installing Windows 10 on your system, it performs more of like a peer-to-peer network, by consuming little bandwidth from every user and helping others to get and download updates at a faster speed.

Here's how to disable it:

  • Go to Settings in the Start menu
  • Search for Update & Security
  • Under Windows Update, open Advanced Options
  • Under Choose How Updates are Installed, select Choose how updates are delivered
  • Disable the toggle under Updated from More than One Place

According to Microsoft, this feature doesn’t slow down one’s internet connection due to the reason that it utilizes a certain part of the bandwidth, but the users should be aware of this kind of feature.

New Battlefield Confirmed For 2016 Release! Electronic Arts CEO reiterates that Battlefield 5 will launch in Fall 2016.

EA has once again confirmed a new entry in the Battlefield series will ship in 2016.
___________________________________________________________

During a recent investor call, chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen was asked about key future titles for the company.

"What we've said is that our intention over the next couple of years is to have a first-person shooter as one of the core titles," he replied. "This year it's Star Wars: Battlefront Next year, it's another Battlefield title."
EA CEO Andrew Wilson previously discussed a new Battlefield in October 2014: "Battlefield 4 continues to add new players and engage existing fans a year after launch," he said.
"As a result of the extended services and content updates that we provide, it's clear that players want to experience the games we're delivering for longer periods of time. Looking into next year, we will ensure that our players have enough time between releases to fully explore the depth and innovation in our shooter titles."
A month later it was teased that the Battlefield series will return to "military-style game" and is already shaping up to be a "fun, new Battlefield."
Star Wars: Battlefront is being developed by DICE, the team responsible for the core entries in the Battlefield series.
Theme
A week ago, a rumor about "Battlefield 5" being set in the future broke out with the alleged Battlefield 2143 screenshot from a Redditor. However, the reported screenshots were declared as fake as SegmentNext said that the Reddit post has been updated with the note: "the images were fake, confirmed by OP. Nothing to see here anymore."
Meanwhile, previous reports stated that "Battlefield 5" will still be military-themed as confirmed by EA. BF4Central also previously reported that the game would do away with the usual theme of cops and robbers.
Platforms
Reports have suggested that "Battlefield 5" will be exclusive to current and next-generation consoles. DICE and EA apparently have no time and intention for making the game available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 because of the huge numbers of game lined up by the developers.
_____________________________________________________________

This news really shouldn't be that surprising. EA has released a big shooter every October for the past few years, and EA CEO Andrew Wilson kind of confirmed the same date in 2014. The big question here is will it be Battlefield 5, Bad company 3 or a new Battlefield spin-off?

'Rise Of The Tomb Raider': Not So Exclusive After All' Coming to PS4 And PC

At E3 this year, the sequel to the hit reboot
Tomb Raider was announced. Rise of the Tomb Raider was displayed at the XBOX conference, with behind-the-scenes footage of creating the new game. It was announced as an xBox exclusive for a holiday 2015 release. At the Square Enix press conference, they showed a similar video, highlighting the tremendous attention to detail that was paid to the game. Square wanted to make full use of the new technology with next-gen systems. They showed just how detailed the game was going to be, with such detail as seeing Lara Croft’s pores, and the fabric of her winter coat.

The game looked astounding, and the studio once again returned to lots of motion capture in order to bring the game, and the characters, to life. However, there was one major factor that stood out. There was no mention of a PS4 or PC release.  This was problematic, seeing as the vast majority of the market use one of those two systems. There are over 75 million steam users, and over 23 million PS4′s sold since its release, however, Microsoft has just just over 15 million xBox Ones. 100M to 15M is a bit of a difference. That’s a lot of an audience to leave out in the cold.
However, in a new press release by Square Enix, the company announced that the console exclusivity of Rise of the Tomb Raider would last just a single year. The Steam/PC version would be out ‘Early 2016′ with no exact date or quarter given, while the PS4 version would come out during holiday 2016. A full year to be on the clear favorite platform. While the ‘timed exclusivity’ may not be news, the fact that the game has finally gotten a release date on the other platforms is. Very few games in the market can survive an xBox exclusive launch. Forza has done well being an xBox exclusive brand, but its one of a few. A small handful that have seen success.
The problem now with Rise of the Tomb Raider is once again the vague time frame. Holiday 2016 and early 2016. Those aren’t months, unless I need to update my calendar. Unfortunately, all this does is infuriate part of the gaming market. PC and Steam players will get access to the game 4-6 months after xBox players. The game will hit stores in November, but odds are it won’t come to Steam and PC until approximately March. Considering Playstation owners already dislike xBox, making them wait an additional 8-9 months for the game will do nothing but fuel the fires of anger.
