Battlefield Hardline Legendary Status Announced!

Ever wanted Call of Duty’s Prestige system to make its way into the Battlefield franchise?  If you do, then you’re in luck, as Battlefield Hardline Legendary Status is now a thing.

Same as with Call of Duty’s Prestige progression, the Battlefield Hardline Legendary Status “Super Feature” will show off just how hardcore and awesome you are at Battlefield Hardline. Legendary benefits are mostly cosmetic, so don’t expect to get a super gun or something by undertaking the challenge.

Legendary Status is comprised of 15 levels, which translates to hundreds of hours of playtime to earn the max rank. Players who earn a Legendary rank will get an exclusive Killcard. Do keep in mind that becoming Legendary will mean that you have to reset your progress on your unlocks on weapons and gadgets (yep, weapon attachments included), even those earned via Battlepacks. What will remain untouched are:  emblems, patches, camos, unopened Battlepacks, and weapons received from pre-order bonuses and shortcut kits. To help in unlocking your gear, players will “receive a slight boost to all cash earned in your Legendary ranks, meaning that each new rank gets you slightly more cash (but not much).”

Lastly, you will need to own the Battlefield Hardline: Robbery expansion if you want to access the Legendary Status tier.

Will you undertake the journey to become Legendary? And should this feature be in every Battlefield game or would you rather it stay in Call of Duty?

Star Wars: Battlefront new ‘Supremacy’ mode revealed

A new multiplayer mode for the upcoming game Star Wars: Battlefront has just been announced by Electronic Arts and DICE titled‘Supremacy‘.
The main task of this mode is to capture all five or majority of the control points that are scattered all over the map. The teams will have to capture these control points before the 10 min time limit. Each team will have two points with them at the start of each game. The mode is much like ‘Conquest’ from Battlefield series, but it gives much more tweaks to encourage greater teamwork among players. Unlike Battlefield, there is no value in draining tickets of the enemy team. Whoever holds all the control points or atleast majority of them till the end of the time wins the game.

The mode ‘Supremacy’ will be featured in the largest maps of Star Wars: Battlefront, giving the players an opportunity to use almost every vehicle available in the game. The level designer ‘Dennis Brännvall’ also stated that players don’t need to move far to see their friends when they Re-spawn into Supremacy. Instead, they are thrown into the frontline where the main battle is happening. So you will enjoy the battle as much as others do. Players will also be able to take control of Hero and Villains like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
Star Wars: Battlefront is the third major installment in Battlefront series and will make its debut on November 17, 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Metal Gear Solid 5 PS4 Has Short Loading Times And Stable FPS, No Difficulty Setting & More Details

Update:
It has been revealed that players can unlock higher difficulty once you complete the story mode.

Original Story:
Some members from the Japanese press were allowed to play through Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and some of them even completed the entire game. Japanese outlet Watch Impress also got the chance to go hands on the game and we have learned new details from their in-depth preview which can be read here.
First of all, the PS4 version is shaping up quite nicely with shorter loading times and stable frame rate performance. The article praised the solid performance of the PS4 version in every respect. The PS4 version is already confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60fps but there were some doubts about its performance given that The Phantom Pain features vast areas for infiltration.

Another aspect that was praised were the graphics, especially the lighting along with the sunlight which the article termed as realistic without a “blown-out” appearance and described the FOX engine as the best lighting engine ever. If you are a fan of Metal Gear Solid game then obviously you are no stranger to cutscenes. Once again, the cutscenes in The Phantom Pain will be of high quality with subtle touches here and there.
Moving on from technical aspects to gameplay mechanics , there will be no difficulty setting in The Phantom Pain. This comes as a bit of surprise since the series is known to include multiple levels of difficulties. Whether this will affect the lesser skilled players is something that remains to be seen but the lack of any difficulty options is a tad disappointing.
Metal Gear Solid 5 features dynamic gameplay scenarios, something which we pointed in our massive preview of the game. The article gave one such example wherein the player will be able to send the combat unit to blow up supply factories which will make it difficult for your enemy to acquire new gear such as helmets, body armor and scopes.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on September 1st.

Noir horror Dollhouse coming to PS4!

Dollhouse, a noir-style “self-driven horror” game from independent studio Creazn, will come to PlayStation 4 in addition to its previously announced PC, Mac, and Linux platforms in early 2016, publisher Soedesco announced.
Here’s a summary of the horror title, via Soedesco:

In Dollhouse, you will be entering the mind of Marie, a detective trying to unravel her past. As she crawls deeper and deeper into her mind, she slowly discover that she might not be who she really thinks she is… Dollhouse’s narrative adapts to the player’s decisions based on what memories players kept or deleted to define who they were. All this is happening inside a world that reinvents ways players perceive horror in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes utilizing suspense over jump scares.

A new trailer released today teases “a self-constructing mystery deteriorating with time waiting to be solved.” It promises “dozens of unlockable abilities,” “a large cast of playable characters,” “cooperative and competitive multiplayer,” and “procedurally generated campaigns.”
A Steam-based closed beta will be held sometime before release. Interested users can sign up via this Google Docs form.
Watch the new trailer below. Visit the Dollhouse official website here.
